Obsidian

You find a mirror made of obsidian in a dark room, and when you look into it you see an emotion you can’t name—like grief mixed with anger. The surface is perfectly reflective, but it doesn’t flatter you.

Obsidian often symbolizes a confrontation with hidden feelings that have been kept out of view. Because obsidian reflects truth sharply, the dream may be asking you to stop polishing the experience and instead face what’s actually there.

You hold a shard of obsidian and it feels warm, as if it’s alive, while images flash in your mind of an old conversation you avoided. Each time you try to set the shard down, it draws you back to the memory.
